Walking the Labyrinth
I first became interested in labyrinths in 2001 during graduate school. As a student, I was drawn to the pattern of the path and the symbol of a journey. I walked my first labyrinth in the sand at the beach in 2002 and am thankful to my mom for capturing this image. Since then I have explored labyrinth designs in chalk, sand, clay and light.

My favorite labyrinth to walk is at St Aidan's Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The labyrinth sits in a circle of trees and is always open for walking.
